My Favourite Hobby (আমার প্রিয় শখ) – Essay Writing
Introduction: Hobby means one’s favorite occupation, but not one’s main business. A man does not depend on it for his living (Buset) but it is no less important than his main business. It is an interesting way to enjoy one’s leisure period.
Kinds of hobby: There are many kinds of hobbies like gardening, drawing, and painting, kite flying, stamp collecting, fishing, sightseeing, etc. Whatever be the hobby, it offers us pleasure and fun.
My hobby: I am a student. I also have a hobby. It is gardening. My garden is in front of my reading room. I grow here roses, marigold, rajanigandha, beli, and some other flowers. I also grow some vegetables such as cabbage (বাধাকপি), turnip (টার্নিপ-শালগম), and tomato. I work in my garden whenever I get free time. I work with a spade and hoe. I make the soil loose, weed out the grass and water (পানি দেই) the new saplings (চারাগাছ). I have made a fence (বেড়া) around my garden so that the naughty boys and animals can do no harm to my flower plants.

Why I like it: I like gardening because it is very useful for the body and mind. It is a sort of physical exercise. It strengthens my health and refreshes my mind. Every day I get great pleasures when I see the blooming (Ple) flowers in the garden. I am charmed at their beauty when they are tossed by the gentle breeze. I also get pleasures when the sweet fragrance of flowers passes into my room. The vegetables in my garden have an extra attraction for me. I feel very happy about eating these vegetables.
