Women in Bangladesh Paragraph Writing. Almost half of the entire population of Bangladesh are women. They are not at all negligible. They do not contribute proportionately to the economy of the country. Most of them are illiterate. Most of them think that women should not work outside of the kitchen. They remain in the house all the time.
Men do not encourage them to take part in economic activities. Women in our country are only producing and rearing children and doing nothing more. o They are not at all guilty of this. If we can create a good and unbiased society for them, they will be of equal importance to the country like men.

উপরের paragraph-এর বাক্যগুলাে কেমন ছাড়া ছাড়া, তাই না? একটি বাক্যের সাথে পরবর্তী বাক্যের কোন যােগাযােগই যেন ঘনিষ্ট নয়। আর এ কারণে প্রতি জোড়া বাক্যের মধ্যে রয়ে গেছে একটি ভাবের শূন্যস্থান যা পূরণ না করা হলে লেখাটি কোন paragraph হয়ে উঠবে। এবার তাহলে নিচের paragraph টি পড়-

As a result, potentially productive women in our country are only producing and rearing children and doing nothing more. But they are not at all guilty for this. If we can create a good and unbiased society for them, they will be of equal importance to the country like men.
লক্ষ্য কর, paragraph টির বিভিন্ন sentence এর মধ্যে এখন একটি পারস্পরিক যােগসূত্র স্থাপিত হয়েছে। মনে হচ্ছে যেন একটি ভাব বিভিন্ন বাক্যের মধ্য দিয়ে মসৃনভাবে সমাপ্তির দিকে এগুতে এগুতে পরিপূর্ণ হল। অবশ্য paragraph টির অন্যান্য এটিও আছে। তবুও coherence-এর গুণ দেখানাের জন্যই এটি এখানে তুলে দেয়া হল। লেখাটির মধ্যে পরিপক্কতা বা maturity র ছাপ তেমন নেই, অথচ coherence-এর গুণে সে দোষ যেন চোখেই পড়ছে
Paragraph-এ coherence-আনার পদ্ধতি
1. Thought বা ভাব এর ধারাবাহিকতা রক্ষা করতে হবে।
2. Related Sentence Pattern ব্যবহার করতে হবে। Active voice-এ বাক্য লিখতে লিখতে হঠাৎ করে passive voice-এ বাক্য গঠন করা যাবে না।
3. যে noun টি thought-এর মূল বিষয়কে প্রতিফলিত করে paragraph এর মধ্যে বারবার তাকে pronoun ব্যবহার করে নির্দেশ করতে হবে।
4. এক জাতীয় ভাব প্রকাশ করে এমন কতকগুলাে sentence-পরপর থাকলে তাদেরকে সুবিধামত নিচের transitional marker গুলাে দ্বারা যুক্ত করতে হবে – secondly, in the second place, next, moreover, in addition (অধিকন্তু), similarly, again also, finally.
5. কোন illustration বা ব্যাখ্যা সূচিত করতে হলে ব্যবহার করতে হবে- thus, for example, for instance, to illustrate.
6. পার্থক্য বুঝানাের জন্য ব্যবহার করতে হবে – On the other hand, on the contrary, nevertheless, despite this fact (এ সত্ত্বেও), still (তবুও), yet, however (অবশ্য)।
7. সিদ্ধান্ত বা ফলাফল নির্দেশ করতে ব্যবহার করতে হবে – therefore (সুতরাং), in conclusion (পরিশেষে বলা যায়), to sum up (মােটের উপর বলতে হয়), Consequently (ফলে), as a result (ফলে), accordingly (তদানুযায়ী), in other words (অন্য কথায়)।
