Introduction
The journey is always pleasant to all. A journey by bus is especially very pleasant and enjoyable to me. I like it most. A few days ago I made a journey by bus from Homna to Chattogram. You may read A journey by Boat compassion.
Occasion
During the last winter vacation, one of my friends requested me to attend his sister’s marriage ceremony at Chattogram. So I got a chance to make a journey by bus. I accepted the invitation (নিমন্ত্রণ) gladly. Two other friends joined me.
Starting of the journey
On the fixed day we reached Homna bus station at 7 a.m. The station was very crowded ( জনাকীর্ণ). Somehow we managed to buy our tickets. The seats of the bus were comfortable. Fortunately, I got my seat by the window. After a few minutes, the bus began to move on. At first, the bus moved on slowly. Then it began to run at full speed.
Scenery enjoyed
I kept looking outside through the window. The sun was rising with all its splendid (দিপ্তমান) beauty. The bus was passing through the green fields. Dewdrops on soft green grass were glittering like pearls (মুক্তা). Trees and houses seemed to run behind. We saw the farmers working in the field in the village. Cattle were grazing here and there. I enjoyed these scenes and sights with a cheerful (উৎফুল্ল) mind.
The bus stopped at a few big stations. We bought boiled eggs, bananas, magazines, etc. from the hawkers. When the bus started from Feni station, I saw the hills of Chittagong. On the right, I saw the vast sheet of water of the Bay of Bengal. All these pleased me very much.
Destination
The bus reached Chittagong at 2 p.m. We got down from the bus at the station and saw my friend. He came to receive us. He became very pleased to see us.
Conclusion
It was the most pleasant journey in my life. I enjoyed it so much that the memory of the journey will remain ever fresh in my heart.
